Angling Waters in Southwest Zealand

Whether fishing from the coast or a boat, the conditions for anglers are excellent on the coast of Southwest Zealand. Depending on the season or the method, it is possible to catch cod, flatfish, fainbow trout, sea trout, grey mullet, herring, lumpfish or garfish. Generally speaking, the cod that is caught is of average size, but the real beauties of over 10 kg bite on the hook quite regularly.
Experienced skippers sail their cutters from Korsør. Information regarding sailing times and fishing licence can be obtained at the tourist offices.

Conditions are perfect for angling in the waters all year round. The most common catch is cod weighing 1 - 5 kg and there are plenty of fish in the sea!.
If you prefer to feel the earth beneath your feet, Korsør has a wide variety of interesting spots that are ideal for on-shore fishing. Depending on the season and the type of fishing you prefer, there are excellent opportunities to catch cod, flatfish, garfish, rainbow trout and sea trout. In the warm season, shoals of grey mullet occasionally swim right in to the coast.
Korsør also has a fine Put & Take lake. The Korsør Angling Association regularly releases rainbow trout into the lake next to Korsør Stadion - a perfect place for a day's fishing with your family.

Also in Skælskør there are good opportunities for the onshore and offshore angler. On the Islands Agersø and Omø there are really good opportunities for a good catch. Angler Fishing Licence is requested for everyone between 18 and 65 when fishing in Denmark. Available at the tourist Offices.
