Garden & Parks

Summer is the time of year for many musical events and other entertainment. In Southwest Zealand there are many green oases, both large and small, where you can enjoy the birdlife, relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, witness the changing of the seasons, keep an eye on the children as they charge about the playground – in short, take a break in green surroundings...

Town parks in Southwest Zealand
Guldagergård Park - a park in which the centre is formed by the grounds and woodland surrounding the beautiful main building of Guldagergård. The park also contains large and small ceramic sculptures. Kongegårdshaven - The gardens are next to Kongegården in Algade. In the summer, musical events, and other entertainment, are often held here.
Korsør Bypark - The park is in the centre of town, wedged between the once separate parts of town. The park serves as a common of sorts, where large and small events are held in and near the activity centre and the amphitheatre.
Lovsøanlægget - Æble- og Pæresøen – with the Apple Lake and the Pear Lake (named after their shapes). There is a great playground for kids with swings, a slide, playhouse and sandpit, and around the park there are picnic tables and benches.

Slagelse Lystanlæg - lovely large park with children’s playground close to the centre of town

Smedegadepark - a green oasis with a lake where you can feed the ducks.
